Briefing:

Liu Qijun, male, Han ethnicity, CPC member, a native of Qidong, Hunan Province, was born in June 1971. With a doctor’s degree, Liu is a tier 2 professor and doctoral supervisor. And he currently serves as the secretary of the CPC Xiangtan University Committee.

Awards and Honors:

Liu Qijun focuses his research on the history and building of the CPC, scientific socialism, and higher education management. He has presided over 2 Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund, and more than 10 Provincial Research Projects. Liu Qijun is the author of 2 academic monographs and he has published more than 40 papers in newspapers and periodicals such as People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Contemporary World and Socialism. He got rewarded by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee for his two articles. He has won several honors including the second prize of the 11^th Hunan Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement Award, and the 14^th Hunan Social Science Achievement Award. He was also the winner of Hunan Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award and the first prize of Hunan Teaching Achievement Award. He achieved the award of “Excellent Researcher in Hunan Research Center for Theories of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” by the Publicity Department of Hunan Provincial Party Committee.
