During the visit to the University of Leon, XTU delegation along with delegations from other countries participated in the university’s Third International Week International Exchange Promotional Fair. They met with President of the University of Leon Juan Francisco García Marín and Vice President of the International Exchange Office Robert, and attended the Confucius Institute Council at the University of Leon. The delegation and the foreign directors were debriefed on the 2017 annual work report of the Confucius Institute at the University of Leon made by the Chinese and foreign deans. The leaders of both universities highly hailed the achievements made by the Confucius Institute in 2017. Later, Gao Xieping and Robert, on behalf of the two universities, signed an implementation agreement to jointly establish the Confucius Institute. They unveiled the new Confucius Institute Building together, and inspected the Confucius Institute Library and other teaching facilities. The delegation also met with the XTU students who studied at the University of Leon to pursue a cooperative mechanical 2+2 program. The delegates learned about their study and life here. The specific teaching of the cooperation mechanical project was also discussed.
