President Zhou Yichun introduced XTU’s history and achievements. The university remained ranking 80th nationwide in terms of comprehensive education conditions. Remarkable achievements have been made in the areas of undergraduate education, featured discipline construction, research-oriented development, social service, cultural inheritance, military project research and innovation, and informatization. He also reported the development plans, and asked for supports in such areas as “double first-class” construction, campus infrastructure budget, talent policy and financial support, studies on Mao Zedong Thoughts and construction of School of Marxism, surrounding environmental management and improvement.
