Research Base for Diversified Dispute Settlement Mechanism Settled in XTU

The nameplate unveiling ceremony of the Research Base for Diversified Dispute Settlement Mechanism of Supreme People's Court and Seminar on Theory and Practice of Diversified Dispute Settlement Mechanism were held at the No. 1 Lecture Hall of the Shaw Building on April 22. Under instruction of President of the Supreme People's Court Zhou Qiang, the Research Base for Diversified Dispute Settlement Mechanism was established at the School of Law in Xiangtan University.

The ceremony was attended by Vice-president of the Supreme People's Court Li Shaoping, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress Xie Yong, President of the Higher People’s Court of Hunan Province Kang Weimin, XTU President Huang Yunqing.

The launching ceremony of How to Be a Good Mediator series that were co-compiled by Xie Yong and Liao Yong’an and published by Xiangtan University Press was held on the same day.

The seminar was co-hosted by the Office of Judicial Reform of the Supreme People's Court and Xiangtan University, undertaken by Xiangtan University Press, 2011 Collaborative Innovation Center on “Building Hunan Ruled by Law and Regional Society Governance” and co-organized by the People’s Court of Yuelu District of Changsha and Shanghai City Development Law Firm.
