Students of XTU Strike Bigger Success in 30th MCM/ICM

The 30th MCM/ICM (The Mathematical Contest in Modeling/ the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling ) unveiled its long expected results. Six teams of Xiangtan University won the first prize and 19, the second prize, with each taking up percentage of 16.67% and of 52.78% of our 36 teams, which means that 69.44% of the teams made their way to the prize list. This is the biggest success than XTU students ever achieved in this contest.

MCM/ICM is a mathematical competition held annually in USA ever since 1985 by COMAP and sponsored by NSF, SIAM and INFORMS. It runs as the only international modeling contest of its kind for college students in the world.
