Professors from XTU Attended Hunan Commendation Conference for Outstanding Scientific and Technical

2011 Hunan Commendation Conference for Outstanding Scientific and Technical Staff was held in Changsha on Feb. 8.The provincial leaders present included: Zhou Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Xu Shousheng, Deputy Decretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor of Hunan Province, Hu Biao, Chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, Mei Kebao, Deputy Decretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Guo Kailang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Chief of the Organization Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Li Youxin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Political Commissar of the Hunan Provincial Military Area Command (HMAC), Yi Lianhong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Secretary-general of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Xiao Yayu, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Li Youzhi, Vice Governor of Hunan Province, Yuan Longping, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, Zhang Dafang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, Hunag Boyun, Vice President of China Association for Science and Technology（CAST）and former President of Central South University. Prof. Huang Yunqing and Prof. Zhou Yichun attended the meeting and received the award.

234 excellent scientific and technical workers were rewarded. Two people plucked Hunan’s Awards for Outstanding Contribution in Science & Technology. 7, 13 and 16 scientific achievements received the first, second and third prize of Hunan’s Natural Science Awards respectively; 4, 6 and 7 scientific achievements won the first, second and third prize of Hunan’s Technology Invention Awards respectively; 19, 56 and 102 projects gained the first, second and third prize of Hunan’s Science & Technology Advancement Awards respectively, and 2 people won Hunan’s Awards for International Scientific & Technological Cooperation.
7 projects of Xiangtan University won awards, including the first prize for two times, the second prize for two times, the third prize for two times and the second participating prize for once. Efficient Algorithm and Application of Partial Differential Equations (by Huang Yunqing, Shu Shi and Chen Yanping) and Failure & Performance Modulation of Lead-free Conductive Film and Device (by Zhou Yichun, Wang Jinbin, Zheng Xuejun, Zhong Xiangli, Tang Minghua and Ma Ying), won the first prize of Hunan’s Natural Science Awards. Design, Synthesis and Performance Study of New-type Liquid Crystal Block Copolymer (by Zhang Hailiang, Xie Helou, Wang Xingzhu, Sun Xiaoyi, He Xiaohua and Chen Jianfang) and Performance Study on Solution Distribution of Evolutionary Algorithms (by Zheng Jinhua, Cui Xunxue, Guo Guanqi, Li Miqing and Xie Yong) received the second prize of Hunan’s Natural Science Awards. Theoretical Research on Quantitative Relation of Polymer Structure and Performance (by Wang Xueye, Yu Xinliang and Yi Bing) gained the third prize of Hunan’s Natural Science Awards. Interpretation and Coping Strategies of Digital Divide in the Informatization Construction of Government (by Chen Yanhong, Wang Xiezhou, Tang Sihui, Xiang Liwen and Wen Tingxiao) was honored the third prize of Hunan’s Science & Technology Advancement Awards. R & D and Application of Detachable-Column Double-wheelhead of Six-bearing Digital Grinding Machines (by Guo Huaizhong, Hu Darong and Hu Zihua) won the second prize of Hunan’s Technology Invention Awards.
