XTU and Universidad de Leon to Jointly Establish Confucius Institute

Recently, Hanban approved Xiangtan University’s joint establishment of Confucius Institute with Universidad de Leon of Spain. This is the first overseas Confucius Institute established by our university, making XTU the fourth university to establish Confucius Institute abroad.

XTU started cooperation with Universidad de Leon in 2004. The two universities have reaped gratifying achievements in terms of high-level mutual visits, interaction of teachers and students, cooperative cultivation, collaborative study and so on. The founding of Confucius Institute will create new platform for long-standing and in-depth cooperation of the two sides.
