Legal Lecture for Foreigners Held by Xiangtan Public Security Bureau

In order to further strengthen the management and service for the foreign experts and foreign students at XTU, and to raise their legal awareness, Xiangtan Public Security Bureau was invited to give a legal lecture on the afternoon of 17th March. Zhao Xiangyou, Deng Wenhong and Jin Xin from Immigration Office of Xiangtan Public Security Bureau came to deliver speeches to more than 60 foreign experts and foreign students.

Policemen from the Immigration Office made specific explanation to the problems foreigners might encounter in China such as passport, visa, driving license and so on. They also answered questions from the audience. The lecture was carried out under a warm and friendly atmosphere. By means of lecture, audience can better understand the Chinese laws and regulations concerning foreigners. Foreign experts and foreign students attended the lecture all showed that they learned a lot, and were confident of their future work and life in China.

This lecture was organized by the International Exchange Centre of XTU and the Xiangtan Public Security Bureau, and was supported by the Immigration Office of the Hunan Provincial Department of Public Security. This lecture is the first one of this kind in Xiangtan City, and even in Hunan Province. It is of great importance to the improvement of our management on foreigners.
