Delegation from Kagoshima University Visited XTU

Entrusted by Professor Yoshida Hiroki, President of Kagoshima University, Professor Kibe Nobuko and Professor Ishikawa Hideaki from the Department of French visited XTU. During their visit, the delegation was warmly received by XTU’s vice-president Liu Changgeng who pointed out that the Kagoshima University and XTU have enjoyed a time-honored friendship, and have frequent exchanges and cooperation. We cherish our friendly relationship with Kagoshima University, and hope that we will have deeper and longer cooperation in more fields. Persons in charge of the International Exchange Centre and School of Foreign Languages attended the meeting, and discussed issues of common interests, such as increasing exchange students and majors, postgraduate student’s cultivation cooperation and so on. Professor Kibe Nobuko showed that this visit was fruitful and she would report to President Yoshida Hiroki as soon as possible so as to carry out new cooperation as early as possible. In addition, the delegation also exchanged ideas with teachers and students from the Department of Japanese of the School of Foreign Languages of XTU. Professor Kibe Nobuko gave a vivid and special lecture to the students of Japanese.
Kagoshima University is the first sister university of XTU. We established friendly cooperation relationship in 1986, and have had an exchange and cooperation history of 23 years. In 2008, when we were celebrating the 50th anniversary of XTU, President Yoshida Hiroki of Kagoshima University gave a speech on behalf of all the overseas sister universities at the celebration ceremony. His affectionate speech left deep impression on all the leaders, alumni, teaching staff and students attending the ceremony.
