Prof. Ge Fei Making a Repot at National Environment Conference

From May 10 to 12, Prof. Ge Fei from the College of Chemical Engineering and her research group members took part in the Fifth National Conference on Environmental Chemistry，2009. Prof. Ge Fei was invited to make a theme report at the branch conference site on Effects of Combined Pollution System of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Surfactant on the Growth of Chlorella and Its Mechanism. This report was a research finding of National Natural Science Foundation of China Prof. held by Prof. Ge Fei, which made a useful exploration to the problem of combined pollution that is paid close attention by Environmental Chemistry Field.

National Conference on Environmental Chemistry is held by Environmental Chemistry Committee of Chinese Chemistry Association every two years, which is a National Academic Conference in the field of environmental chemistry with the highest level and largest scale. This conference was organized by Dalian University of Technology and Key Laboratory of Industrial Ecology and Environmental Engineering of Ministry of Education, with the theme “Environmental Chemistry---opportunities and challenges”. Besides Chemistry Director of Committee of National Natural Science Foundation and a lot of delegates attended the conference, including Academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Yangtze River Scholar and more than 30 winners who got the National Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar. They were from Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, and City University of Hong Kong etc.
