Li Wen Was Appointed as a Specially-hired Professor of “Furong Scholar Programme”

The appointment ceremony of Specially-hired Professor of “Furong Scholar Programme” was held in our university on April 10th. Li Wen was officially appointed as a Specially-hired Professor of “Furong Scholar Programme” for the major of Materials Physics and Chemistry by our school. The vice-president Zhou Yichun and Wang Jiping attended this appointment ceremony with the other officers in the Departments of Personnel, Graduate Students and the Faculty of Material and Phoelectronic Physics.

On behalf of our school, the vice-president Wang Jiping has made a contract of the Specially-hired Professor of “Furong Scholar Programme” with the professor Li Wen. And the vice-president Zhou Yichun expressed his warm welcome and congratulations towards Professor Li as he became the Specially-hired Professor of “Furong Scholar Programme” in our school. Professor Li said, he would work hard and contribute himself to the construction and development of Xiangtan University.

Li Wen was born in June 1965, graduated with the Doctoral Degree in condensed state physics from Jilin University in June 1995. Before this appointment, he successively worked in Changchun Institute of Optics of Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun University, Chemical Engineering and Materials Department in University of Alberta in Canada, Physics department of Washington State University in the United States. Being the professor in National Institute of Standards and Technology now, he is engaged in materials research. He published 27 top-ranking SCI academic papers in recent five years, and made internationally influential fruits in many fields, such as the material local mechanical phenomena and surface and interfacial electronic state, wettability and thermodynamics of super-hydrophobic material, micro/nanotextures lubrication and surface textures design, and crystallization and mechanical behavior of copolymers.
