Opening of Postdoctoral Scientific Research Mobile Station of Law Studies Completion and Operation o

On the morning of September 29th, the new completed law building of our university was full of jubilant atmosphere with chorus of ceremony music. The ceremony of new law building completion and opening of Postdoctoral Scientific Research Mobile Station of Law Studies was held here. Vice Chairman of Provincial CPPCC, Vice President of Provincial High People’s Court and former Dean of School of Law Xie Yong, Vice Secretary of Provincial Politics and Law Committee Peng Duixi, Associate Prosecutor-General of Provincial People’s Procuratorate Yin Shibo, Vice President of our university Huang Yunqing, Dai Feijun, Xia Guohua and delegates from other universities attended the opening ceremony.

First of all, Huang Yunqing expressed thanks to the concern and support from all circles of society on behalf of our university. He also reviewed the rapid development history of School of Law in recent twenty-odd years and gave a detailed introduction to the achievements of law discipline construction and talents cultivation. Huang Yunqing pointed out that the staff of School of Law should grasp the opportunity and make full use of its own feature to make its due contribution to the law studies development in Hunan Province and even in China under the new situation of improvement of outside and interior environments. The principal of School of Law made a full and systemic introduction to the development of law discipline from the perspectives of teaching resources and academic team construction.

Xie Yong and Peng Duixi delivered speeches on the ceremony and expressed their hope that School of Law could take the good chance of the opening of Postdoctoral Scientific Research Mobile Station of Law Studies, keep to cultivate justice spirits and make greater achievement in the prosperity of law studies.

Afterwards, Xie Yong, Peng Duixi, Yin Shibo, Huang Yunqing cut the ribbon for the new law building and uncovered the tablet of Postdoctoral Scientific Research Mobile Station of Law Studies. Up till now, the new law building is in full operation after thirteen months’ construction. The building covers a construction area of more than ten thousand square meters with three moot courts, three criminal investigation labs and two evidence labs. There is also a Law Library more than six hundred square meters in the building with more than sixty thousand volumes of books and nearly three hundred academic periodicals.
