Goods news came from Fourth Meeting on Educational Aid of Talents Training to Developing Countries ended in Kunming, Yunan Province on April 2. Seminar on Law and Social Economic Development of African Countries, a foreign aid project sponsored by Minister of Commerce and recommended and supervised by Ministry of Education will be undertake by African Law and Society Research Center of Xiangtan University, our university’s key research base of humanities and social sciences. More than 20 law experts from Africa will come to our university to discuss the law and social economic development issues with Chinese scholars. This is the crystallization of the long time research on African law and social studies of the research center. It is also the first educational foreign aid project undertook by our university. The research and implement of the project will promote the development and prosperity of the research on African law and social issues of our university. It also consolidates the university’s domestic leading position on African law studies and strengthens the cooperation on law studies, academic exchange, talents cultivation and training between the African countries and our university.
