The 8th National Consumer Economy Theory & Practice

The 8th National Consumer Economy Theory & Practice Seminar undertaken by our University in conjunction with periodical office of Consumer Economy, was held from Sep. 18 to 19 in our University. More than 60 experts and scholars from more than 40 higher universities and research institutes such as Wuhan University, Xi’an University of Communications, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences etc., including domestic famous economists such as Yin Shijie, Yang Shengming, Lu Jiarui, Liu Guangjie, Wen Qixiang, Zheng Biqing ect., have attended the seminar.

Mr. Luo He’an, the president of our university, attended this conference and made an opening speech. He briefly introduced the conferee to the basic condition of our university and the outstanding achievements made in launching theory and practice research for many years. He pointed out that the holding of this seminar was bound to play an important role in further strengthening communication and cooperation in economy academic circles and promoting study and development of China’s consumer economy.

During the two-day seminar, the conferee have, focused on the subject of the conference, namely, “Scientific Development Value and Sustainable Consumption Study”, launched an extensive and deep discussion and communication with regard to such four major topics as expanding consumption demand and man’s comprehensive development, enhancing consumption quality and comprehensive construction of well-off society, consumption demand and economy increase, farmer’s income increase and countryside consumption. Partial experts and scholars gave a wonderful lecture. In this seminar, 70 pieces of research paper were collected.
