Construction of the Research Center of Chemical Process Simulation and Optimizing Engineering of the

On August 20, the experts group organized by the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau of Hunan Province came to our university to check and accept the project of "the Research Center of Chemical Process Simulation and Optimizing Engineering of the Ministry of Education". Sheng Jiyun, the vice director of the Education Bureau of Hunan Province and the university leader Luo He'an have attended the acceptance meeting.

The group leader of the acceptance is Yu Ruqing, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Science. The group has successively investigated XiangDa Bide Co. Ltd which is the experiment base of new products of the research center, and the lab of the research center. At the report-back meeting held afterwards, Luo He'an reported to the experts group on the achievements gained in project research, industrialization development, system of management, personnel training as well as academic exchange. The experts group set a high value on the construction of the research center and put forward some proposals on how to stress the characteristic of the research center and strengthen the discipline construction. After discussing conscientiously, the experts group passed the acceptance unanimously on the ground that the research center has completed the project construction, achieved the desired objects and made the investment in place, with standard management, rational personnel successful transformation of the technological results.

Since being sanctioned constructing from 2001, the Research Center of Chemical Process Simulation and Optimizing Engineering of Ministry of Education has made an outstanding achievement, It had undertaken 36 projects in all including National 863 Project, National Natural Science Fund, brainstorm projects at provincial and ministerial level and research projects entrusted by enterprises. The outlay of the contract is 11.48 million Yuan including "the key technological innovation and basic research in Environmental goodwill producing caprolactam ", the graveness item of the National Natural Science Fund. The center has published about 150 academic papers, with 20 of them accepted by SCI; has applied for 12 innovation patents with 4 of them authorized; 7 items of the results have passed province and ministry level appraisal; has obtained two province and ministry level awards including the first prize of scientific and technological progress of Chinese Petro-Chemical Corporation.
