Recently, good news came from Ministry of Education that four professors of our university, including Chen Yanping, Su Xuping, entered the “2004 New Century Talents Scholarship Program”, and will be granted with relative scholarships (500,000 RMB for natural science scholarship and 200,000 for social science scholarship). The “2004 New Century Talents Scholarship Program” is a component of the “High-level Creative Talents Program” implemented by Ministry of Education since 2004. The program, which has integrated “Cross Century Talents Program” and the “University Young Scholars’ Scholarship”, is a important part of the talents cultivation strategy of Ministry of Education, which aims to strengthen the sustained support of top talents. With four professors in the program, our university ranks first among the provincial institutions in number. This achievement witnesses the leading role of our faculty’s creativity and scientific research capacity province-wide. It also accelerates the pace of gathering a team of top talents in our university and improves the whole quality of our faculty.
