On December 26, a signing ceremony of a cooperation and exchange agreement between Peking University and Xiangtan University (XTU) was held at XTU. Zhang Pingwen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of Peking University, CPC XTU Committee secretary Huang Yunqing, and XTU President Li Bochao attended. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Yunqing, and Zhang Pingwen and Li Bochao signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities.
Since Peking University and XTU signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and exchange in June 2015, the two universities have carried out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in development planning, discipline construction, scientific research platforms, and project cooperation. The two sides co-built the Hunan Institute of Advanced Sensing and Information Technology. Now it is a leading laboratory in relevant field in central and south China, and important research results have been achieved.
The agreement adhered to the principle of “exemplary act, pragmatic results, and common development”. Based on the memorandum of understanding signed in 2015, the two sides will take their cooperative relationship to the next level, and carry out cooperation and exchanges in eight aspects including development planning.
