On September 13, an Egyptian prosecutorial delegation paid a visit to Xiangtan University. As an important follow-up event of the ForumonChina-AfricaCooperation—LegalForum(2025), this visit aims to build an efficient communication bridge in the field of prosecution between China and foreign countries, deepen China-Africa cooperation in legal research, and inject new impetus into bilateral legal exchanges. Liu Jingang, Vice President of Xiangtan University, attended the exchange activity.

The delegation visited the MaoZedongBronze Statue Square and the University History Museum, learning about the university’s development and achievements, especially its distinctive strengths and outstanding outcomes in law and China-Africa studies.
During the exchange session, Professor Hong Yonghong, Dean of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Law Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech titledThe History and Future of China-Africa Legal Exchanges and Cooperation. With specific cases, he analyzedthe opportunities and challenges facing current China-Africa legal cooperation, and put forward constructive suggestions for future collaboration. The discussion washeated, with delegation members actively participating and engaging in extensive interaction.
This exchange not only enhanced the Egyptian prosecution’s understanding of China’s achievements inlegaldevelopment and Xiangtan University’s research on China-Africa law, but also laid a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the future.
