Jiang Song was born in January 1963 in Daxian, Sichuan Province. Currently, he serves as researcher and secretary of the CPC Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics Committee.

 

In 1982, graduated from Sichuan University with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in mathematics;

In 1984, obtained a master's degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University;

In 1988, received a doctor’s degree from the University of Bonn in Germany;

In 2015, appointed as academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

 

He has been mainly engaged in the fields of compressible fluid mechanics mathematical theory, calculation methods and applied research. He has won the second prize of the State Natural Sciences Award, the first prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award, China Youth Science and Technology Award, and Qiu Shi Outstanding Scientist Award. He was selected as candidate for Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project in New Century, recognized as the academic and technological leader of Sichuan Province in 2003 and honored with outstanding expert of China Academy of Engineering Physics in 2014.
