Graduated from Peking University in 2008, Cui Jiaxi was successively engaged in postdoctoral research at Peking University, Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany and Harvard University. He was sponsored by the Eleventh Thousand Young Talent Program. 

 

He has been appointed as professor of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China as of 2016. His main research areas include chemistry, colloids and interfaces, surface modification and structural design, biomimetic materials, and, microfluidics.

 

He has published many papers in first-class journals such as Nature Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Advanced Materials, and Macromolecules. His papers have been cited for more than 1,200 times with the h-index totaling 23. He has been invited to make keynote speeches at international academic conferences for many times. He has been involved in the co-writing of two English academic monographs and applied for a number of patents (the United States). The technologies of lubrication surface and polymer brush surface modification have been applied to the United States’ SLIPS and Germany’s SAM respectively.
